With Minnie Mouse getting her star on the Walk of Fame in a few short days, I thought this the perfect opportunity to pay homage to one of our favorite Disney style icons!
Brand name clothing, like most merchandise, sport a higher price; Disney is no exception. Even something as simple as a tee shirt can cost $30+. A great alternative is to Rock the Dots, Minnie style!
The best thing about Rocking the Dots is the availability! Just pick your favorite clothing store and you will probably find a plethora of great choices. Don’t forget to check your local thrift stores as well.
When we think of Minnie Mouse we usually think of black, red, and white dots, but we definitely do not have to limit ourselves to those colors. A simple black and white will do the trick. Minnie also has a pink and white dress, and classic Minnie wears blue polka dots. We can Rock the Dots in any color, and look!
The outfit shown above is from one of our very first visits to Disneyland after we purchased our Annual passes. My closet held few Disney items. We were visiting the park constantly, and ran out of Disney outfits very quickly. I enjoyed taking pieces I already had in my closet to Disney Bound (Disney inspired outfits). I am wearing a top from Forever 21, purchased some time ago you can find a similar top from Asos for about $10.00 and at Forever 21 for $10.90.

I found a great pink shirt on Amazon for $14.99 and the best part is, it comes in a bunch of different colors!!! I also found this super fun ruffle sleeve dress for $16.00 from Shein For $16.00 you can also get this very pale pink dress from Asos

Purple is my favorite color so when I found these matching shirts at Savers, I just had to get them.
Budget friendly options for my daughter Jasmin’s top:
Purple polka dot long sleeve from Carters on sale for $4.99. Purple dress on Amazon for $5.99. (Dapper Day is coming up and I found this 50’s style dress on Amazon, not quite as budget friendly ($30.99) but worth mentioning because it is so adorable, and would be perfect for a Minnie Dapper Day look.)

@styledbymagic has a bold fashion sense, with subtle hints of Disney. There isn’t even a mouse shaped shadow on this outfit, yet we can’t help but immediately think of Minnie when we see it! Even my almost two year old pointed to this picture and shouted “Minnie” as I was writing this blog post.
This groovy jumpsuit is from Betty and Veronica and retails for $116 on sale for $59, so here are a few more budget conscious options; short sleeve black jumpsuit from Rue 21 for $26.99 and a long sleeve jumpsuit for about $25 from Asos and an pretty little off the shoulder white jumpsuit from Shein for $21
Or if you want to be a little less daring, take a look at this sweet multicolored polka dot dress also sported by the lovely @styledbymagic
The muli-color dress she is wearing is still available as of right now, but says low in stock. There is also a similar dress available both are about $15.00, and I found this fun cutout dress for about $12.50 also from Asos

@disneylann_ pairs a simple long sleeve polka dot shirt with a little vintage style corduroy dress for a perfect rose gold Minnie look.
You can find similar options at Forever 21 for $12.90 And at Shein for $14.00

This gorgeous dress worn by @wissabear is perfect for an easy Minnie Mouse Disney bound, and since the dress says it all, accessories are optional.
There are tons of similar options at Dresslily and Amazon all for around $20.00

Take a look at these unique polka dots pants worn by @makeitminnie . To the untrained eye theses pants may just look like a flirty and fun fashion statement, but to the Disney fan she is rocking it Minnie style in her everyday life, outside the parks.
These pants were a little more difficult to find in the budget friendly price range, but I did manage to find one pair from Forever 21 for $17.90 and one pair from Amazon for $14.00.

Check out the queen of disney bounding, @dapperonthedaily for some adorable Minnie style inspiration. She takes this little polka dot number, adds a few classic Minnie details and voila… a perfect outfit for Rocking the Dots!
I found an almost identical dress at Forever 21 for $17.90, and a cute long sleeve option for $21.99 on Amazon
