Charmed at Disney

Have you seen these Charmed in the Park stations at the stores throughout the Disney parks?

These adorable and stylish charms can be a special memento for any Disney vacation or for an AP to accumulate and document exciting memories made during the year!

Each charm is $6.99 before AP discount and the necklace and bracelet chains are each $9.99 before AP discount. Even if you only get one charm, that’s $17! Which considering Disney jewelry prices isn’t overly “expensive”.

But we are bounding on a budget over here so of course I have a more budget friendly option for you!!!

My mom actually found this amazing keychain in Tomorrowland at The Star Trader during her visit this past February and purchased one for me as a gift. I loved the charms so much I couldn’t let them stay on a keychain where they wouldn’t be seen.

For $9.99 (before AP discount) you get 6 charms making each one a little over a dollar a piece. Four of the charms are Disney attractions: It’s a small world, Haunted Mansion, Mickey fun wheel, and the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. These are very similar in look and material to the charms pictured above from The Disney park stores. The other two are not metal but a softer rubbery type material, which I decided to keep as a keychain.

The Mickey fun wheel and Small World charms are my favorites and wouldn’t they look amazing paired with the Mickey Wheel and Small world numbers necklaces by @makeitminnie ? Clink the link to shop these in her restock happening in a week or so!

Using a chain I already had, I got out my jewelry pliers and got to work.

If you don’t have an unused necklace chain lying around you can find one at your local craft store for a few dollars. (Don’t forget to download your craft store apps and take advantage of the coupons they offer!)

After I finished adjusting each charm, I unclipped the two rubbery charms from the keychain and clipped them on my go to Disney backpack. The great part about the clip is that it can be removed easily to clip on whichever backpack or purse you are heading to the parks with!

I also used the keyring on one of my last DIY’s (the VHS purse) so none of this keychain went unused!

This design and its accompanying merchandise, is part of Disney’s park collection for the year called The Passport Collection and is available throughout the parks.

These pictures were all taken at the Emporium on Main Street, in between the cash registers and the opening into the little kids shop with all the stuffed animals.

I hope this helps you save money so you can continue to add the perfect little detail to your Disney outfit!

I look forward to seeing you sporting pieces from this collection! If you turn this keychain into a necklace be sure to tag @haileemzarate or #boundingonabudget I really enjoy seeing your pictures!!!!
