Ever since the Mike Wazowski purse from Loungefly came out, I have had the idea for this DIY and the opening of Pixar Pier seemed like the perfect time to debut it.

It was pretty crowded on opening day at California Adventure but we decided to brave it so we could get a first look at the Pier.

I was really impressed by the detail and the Disney theming they added to this area. My favorite part was all the new picture spots! I had the little with me so I wasn’t able to try the new Incredi-coaster yet, but I am hoping to get that in soon.

MIKE WAZOWSKI PURSE:

Supplies:

Round white purse– Amazon

Black, white and green paint (I love the Apple Barrel brand at Wal-Mart- 50 cents each)

Paintbrushes- The sizes I used are shown in the first picture. A fuller brush for painting in the bigger areas, and a very small tipped brist for the lines. I bought my set at Wal-Mart a while ago for only a few bucks.

Pencil and round objects for measuring each circle. I personally stink at drawing and lazily just use whatever I can find in the mess of my craft room, I frequently use the Disney buttons, jar lids, the brim of a cup or bowl.

Directions:

Measure your circles, paint, let dry, and do not forget to varnish

This was a really easy DIY, just required a lot of waiting; the purse I found came from China, and I had to wait for each circle of paint to dry, which was so hard considering how excited I was to see the end product.

I have already thought of a few more Disney Bounds I could use this purse for, by painting something else in the circle instead of this punky little eyeball.
